Fleetwood Mac is one of the greatest bands ever. Producers rarely remix Fleetwood Mac. Why you ask? Most remixers and mashup artists focus solely on what is “hot” now – you know, pop songs and EDM “hits.” The Melker Project wanted to buck the trend and introduce mashup fans to some of the timeless classics that often go untouched in remix culture. You know, GOOD songs.
“Skeetwood Mac” is the first in a series of EPs being released by The Melker Project, each focusing on a different classic artist. As the name implies, this EP is comprised of five Fleetwood Mac songs, each mashed up with Hip Hop and R&B standards. The first release “The (2) Chain (z),” reached number 4 on the hypem popular chart and garnered attention from VH1, Urban Outfitters, FUSETV and Paper Magazine, as well as a host of top music blogs.
