For those of you who were fans in 2008, you likely remember “Knockin’ Boots,” which was by far my most popular mix at that time. This was a straight up mixtape of 90s R&B slow jams – no mashups, remixes or manipulations… just good old fashioned baby making music. The mix has not been available in digital form for over 5 years – it was actually SOLD as a CD at TurntableLab. Yeah, showing my age. I will be rereleasing the mix with thefuture.fm this Friday!

Ok, so this one is barely a “throwback,” considering I just made it 9 months ago. But that’s long enough to conceive and birth a child, which, to me, is long enough to consider something “old.” So here it is – Last Night Daft Punk Changed My Life.
If you were alive in the 90s, you were most likely a fan of “Shorty Swing My Way” by KP & Envyi. I’ve considered remixing this track for a long time and finally found the right inspiration. I was thinking, “what would this track sound like if it was made today by a modern hip hop producer?” (like me, for example)”… and this is what I came up with. The track starts with an acoustic R&B feel, featuring yours truly tickling the keys. As the track progresses, it becomes more of a crunk banger, later moving into an uptempo club track. I hope you like it – I’m really happy with the way it turned out!

As many of you know, I have received a final termination warning from Soundcloud. This is largely due to the takedown of this track.
